I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be joining this new meme hosted by Krysti at YA and Wine and Sarah at The Clever Reader! This meme is meant for book bloggers to show off and discuss their ARCs! I think that this sounds very fun, and if you agree, be sure to check out the info below, as well as Krysti’s info post about the meme!
From YA and Wine: #ARCstravaganza is a weekly meme hosted by Krysti at YA and Wine and Sarah at The Clever Reader to give book bloggers/bookstagrammers a chance to show off those ARCs/eARCs/Galleys! Comment on their weekly posts with a link to your own #ARCstravaganza blog post, or post a pic on Instagram using the #ARCstravaganza hashtag, and you will be entered to win an ARC copy of an upcoming YA novel! One winner will be chosen at random each month!
Update: In August #ARCstravaganza is going to switch to Instagram only. We’re so sorry for the change, but it’s getting really hard to manually track all the entries each month for the giveaway. We really appreciate your participation!

I’m really excited to read this book! Well, this series actually. I’d been eyeing Stalking Jack the Ripper since first seeing people’s ARCs for the book all over social media last year. As it was though, I was far too swamped with my own ARCs at the time to request one for Stalking Jack the Ripper. I therefore missed out. Luckily, I was able to request a copy despite it having been published for almost a year already, and the publisher kindly provided me with a finished copy of the first book, and an ARC of the sequel, Hunting Prince Dracula! (Thank you again!) I’ve always been fascinated with Jack the Ripper and how he’d never been caught. I’ve also been meaning to read more historical YA books, so two birds with one stone!
I’ve also only heard good things about Stalking Jack, and am super super excited that the second book in the series will be about Dracula because he’s another fascination of mine, and the historical figure who inspired Dracula (our first vampire) is one who I enjoy reading a lot about as well, Vlad the Impaler, or Vlad Dracul. I am Transylvanian, and my people (and myself) see Vlad as a hero who took back the land that was rightfully ours, saving the Romanian people from being enslaved by another nation. If you like to read more about this, there are plenty of historical non-fiction texts devoted to it. And if you would like to learn more about it through fiction books, I highly recommend the Conqueror Saga by Kiersten White! (Just keep in mind that it won’t all be historical fact, and that there is a good dose of fiction mixed in there as well!)

I won’t be including the Goodreads synopsis for this book because it’s a sequel, and there are bound to be spoilers in it. I haven’t even read the synopsis yet because I have a spoiler-phobia! Haha. And I haven’t read the first book in the series, Stalking Jack the Ripper, yet because I’m planning to binge-read (and review) both books in September!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING MY FIRST #ARCSTRAVAGANZA POST! HAVE YOU READ BOTH OF THESE BOOKS? JUST THE FIRST BOOK? ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO HUNTING PRINCE DRACULA? WHAT OTHER UPCOMING RELEASES ARE YOU EXCITED FOR? LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!
