#ARCstravaganza (#14): Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Happy Monday everyone! And also happy #ARCstravaganza day! I was actually able to schedule this post in advance…because this past weekend was not Thanksgiving weekend, and I wasn’t all thrown off, thinking Saturday was Friday, Sunday was Saturday, and Monday was Sunday. Yeah, I was all confuddled last week and posted my post a day late! Sigh. The shame! Anyway, this week it’s on time, and I’m featuring a book that I’m very excited to have gotten a copy of! I received this book from a good friend of mine, and I’ll just say thank you here again for the millionth time! Hehe.

Happy Monday, my lovelies! Or rather, Happy ARCstravaganza day (as I’ve come to call it)! Um wow. So, as some of you may know, Canadian Thanksgiving was yesterday, so most Canadians had the Monday off. Due to working on Saurday (until about 8 pm) and then having Monday off….all day yesterday,  I was under the impression that it was Sunday! I had this post prepped, and just had to add the Insta photo before scheduling it. But I was all out of sorts, and my mental clock is all out of whack! So, here it is today, one day late, because I’m a confused scatterbrain! Haha. Sorry! To learn more about the meme, please continue reading to see the info below, and continue past that to read more about my ARC choice for this week!

Happy Monday, my lovelies! Or rather, Happy ARCstravaganza day (as I’ve come to call it)! And also, happy October aka. Halloween and Oktoberfest Month! Yaaaay. I love both Oktoberfest (mostly due to having grown up in a Germanic country, Austria), and Halloween for too many reasons to count! I mean…look at the Halloween-e-fied theme on here and on all of my other social media! Haha. I’m a bit obsessed maybe? But that’s okay, I think. You can read about my September wrap-up, and future plans for the blog here. But back to ARCstravaganza! To learn more about the meme, please continue reading to see the info below, and continue past that to read more about my ARC choice for this week!

Happy Monday, my lovelies! Or rather, Happy ARCstravaganza day (as I’ve come to call it)! Also, I would like to wish you all a happy Autumn! Yaaaay. There’s always something special about Fall for me…a mixture of the scents, foods, fashion, cozy reads, candles, hot tea…it’s just great. It’s been a bit tough for me to get into the Autumn mood though, because in my part of Canada, it’s been around 31 degrees Celsius almost every day! They were mentioning heat warnings on the radio, and I was like, this is not the Autumn that I know and love…hahaha. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, and I would love to get another beach day in there (well, beach day, since I haven’t been to the beach once this summer. I know. Sad). But back to ARCstravaganza! To learn more about the meme, please continue reading to see the info below, and continue past that to read more about my ARC choice for this week!

Happy Monday once again! I don’t know about you, but this meme is like…the only thing I look forward to on Mondays. Okay, that’s a lie maybe. I love my job, and the work that I do! Honestly. But back to #ARCstravaganza! I’m very excited about the book I’ve picked for this week because I’d been eyeing it since (I believe) sometime last year, before it even had a cover, and then chickened out from requesting it…because it is going to be a sob-fest in my house when I read it. Judging from my feelings regarding the synopsis, and what I have heard from blogger friends, I will be weeping uncontrollably. I might even disappear off social media for a few days! We’ll see. But anyway, I received a copy when I went to Frenzy Presents last Sunday, so now I have to read it! And I am both excited and terrified!

Happy Monday everyone! And more importantly, happy #ARCstravaganza day! How was everyone’s weekend? Did you do anything exciting? Or did you get lots of reading time?! My weekend was insane! But in a good way. I was very lucky to have been invited to the Fall Preview by Penguin Random House Canada on Friday, which was a great event (and every exciting for me, since it was my first one)! I was able to hear about some awesome, upcoming releases, and hear from three Canadian authors (whose books I was also able to take home after the event). The drive from my home, to Toronto, is no joke. But it was definitely worth it to attend this event. On Saturday I worked for 12 hours, and Sunday I was up early, and headed back to Toronto for HarperCollins’ Frenzy Presents event! There we heard about some awesome upcoming YA from HarperCollins, heard from star authors Angie Thomas (The Hate U Give), Julie Murphy (Dumplin‘, and Ramona Blue), and Becky Albertalli (Simon VS. the Homo Sapiens Agenda)! I will be blog posts about this event, and the Penguin one as well, so keep an eye out for those this week or next!

Happy #ARCstravaganza day everyone! How was everyone’s weekend? Or did your weekend not end yet because you get a long weekend like me? Hehe. I’ll probably be working anyway though. Back to the event though, the book that I picked for this week was actually surprise book mail! I had requested it months ago, but hadn’t heard anything back, and therefore assumed that I hadn’t been approved. But surprise! It came in the mail anyway, haha, and it is gorgeous!

Firstly, I would like to apologize for this post going up late. Yes, it is still Monday, and therefore still acceptable, but I usually have this post written and scheduled for 8 am, days in advance. As some of you may have heard, Flavia got a new job! Yay! I am finally editing books for a living (somewhat), and although it’s an internship, it’s where we all have to start, and I’m still extremely happy. I am learning a lot, and working my bum off so that I can gain as much knowledge and experience within the 3 months that I’ll be doing this internship. It was due to this reason that I worked close to 12 hours every day last week, and then stayed up until 4 am in order to finish a project in time for a deadline. I’m crazy, I know, but I did it! But anyway, that is why this post is a little later than usual, and I hope that all of your will understand!

It’s Monday again! How does time go by so quickly? Seriously. Anyway, even though Kyrsti has already featured this book in one of her posts (check it out here), I couldn’t help but feature it as well. Especially since the publication date (August 29th) is coming up quick! I’ve been so excited for this book, and I wasn’t sure until a few days ago (when it came in the mail), whether I would get a copy of this for review or not. I’m pretty sure there are a million holds on the one copy which my library will be getting, so I don’t know when I would have gotten around to reading and reviewing it for you guys if that were the case. So, yay!

I also have a bit of news for you (in the case that you have no read my previous #ARCstravaganza posts). While this meme was created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader, due to personal circumstances they have had to let it go. But then Krysti came to its rescue when she asked me if I wanted to take over the meme, and I said yes!

Happy Monday! (Or at least it’s as happy for all of you as it is for me). And I’m sorry that this post is going up so late! My weekend was kind of insane, and while I usually try to prep posts a few days in advance, or on the weekend if I can’t find time for the former option, things have been kind of nuts since last Monday anyway. However, here it (finally) is! I also had to do some debating on whether I should keep my original ARC choice for this week or not, since the review for it also went up on my blog today! Bad planning is bad. Flavia is a bad blogger. Haha. But, I decided that I really want to feature this book anyway, so I apologize if any of this feels / sounds repetitive. It is my belief that this book, and others like it, need recognition and also need to be discussed!

I also have a bit of news for you (in the case that you have no read my previous #ARCstravaganza post). While this meme was created by Krysti at YA and Wine, and hosted by her, and Sarah at The Clever Reader, due to personal circumstances they have had to let it go. For part of last Monday some of us were saying our goodbyes to #ARCstravaganza, and I for one was quite sad to no longer be able to participate in such a fun meme. But then Krysti came to its rescue when she asked me if I wanted to take over the meme! And here we are.
