Yay! It’s finally time for our first Renegades discussion! I feel like the wait has been so long since I announced this readalong, and it’s been torture. But now we’re finally reading this awesome book, and I’m very happy to be reading it together with all of you, and to be able to talk about it with you guys as well! This week we’ll be discussing from the prologue, up to the end of chapter 8. For those of you hearing about this readalong for the first time, you can find the info and sign-up post here. And if this is the first time you are hearing about Calendar Girls, it is a monthly blogging event which is hosted by Melanie and myself! For more details, please go to my info page about Calendar Girls!

Calendar Girls (#11 / November 2017): Best End of a Series
How is it November already?! We’re gonna blink and it’ll be December. Like, oh my goodness. Where did 2017 go? We’re so happy to so many of you have stuck with us for so long, and how many awesome participants we’ve picked up along the way! There are so many books that we would not have heard of if you guys had not shared them with us. So thank you for sticking with us, thank you for sharing your faves, and thank you for discussing something we all love…books! Also, this month’s readalong is not based on the monthly theme, because it would have been impossible to read the last book in a series that every one just happens to be reading. So, I hosted a poll and listed all of the books that I’d be reading this month anyway, and let you guys pick from the list. I’m very happy to announce that the majority of you voted for Renegades by Marissa Meyer, and that you can rad more info, and sign up here if you haven’t already! (P.s. the readalong is open to Calendar Girls participants, and non-participants as well!)

Monthly Wrap-Up (October 2017)
Another month has gone by! And so quickly too. How does that happen? It must be because I really really love October and Halloween. Probably. Anyway, the past few weeks have been quite busy for me, and I’m actually surprised that I posted as often as I did. Haha. Sometimes I wonder how I do it! Also, as you may notice…I’m using the same GIFs that I used for the September wrap-up, and that’s because I love Halloween and I think that they’re so cute (and funny haha)!

Calendar Girls Wrap-Up (October 2017)
Welcome to the wrap-up for another great month for Calendar Girls! This past month we got a little spookier by going with the Best Paranormal Novel theme! And it was so much fun to see what everyone’s favourites were. Seriously! That’s one of the best parts of Calendar Girls, all of the recommendations you indirectly received from friends. (If this is your first time hearing about Calendar Girls and are interested in finding out more, you can read my info page about the blog event here!)

Calendar Girls (#10 / October 2017): Best Paranormal Novel
It’s October! What?! How?! I cannot believe it’s been 9 whole months since Melanie and I launched Calendar Girls!
(Please note that there will be no readalong this month, as Melanie and myself are too busy to host one. We are very sorry about this, and will keep you posted about a possible readalong in November!)

Calendar Girls Wrap-Up (September 2017)
This month was a little more on the realistic side than in months past, because this month’s theme was ‘Best Contemporary Novel!’ And boy did we have quite a few books to pick from. I think… this might have been our best month for participation yet, but don’t take my word for it! Check out the picks yourself! (If this is your first time hearing about Calendar Girls and are interested in finding out more, you can read my info page about the blog event here!)

Calendar Girls (#9 / September 2017): Best Contemporary Novel
How is this the 9th monthly Calendar Girls?! And how is it already September?! It feels just like yesterday that Melanie and I were putting our heads together trying to figure out what we wanted our blog event to be. Before we know it, our baby will be turning 1 year old! *sniffle* Well, maybe not quite yet. But anyway! This month it’s all about that contemporary fiction, and I cannot wait to see what all of you will have picked / will pick!
Also, there will be no Calendar Girls themed readalong this month, because Melanie and I are both too busy (me partially because I had already planned to do another readalong this month for A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab. If you’d like to join that, please sign up using the Google Form provided here, and also for the newsletter if you want reminders!)

Calendar Girls August 2017 Read-A-Long: My Lady Jane (Discussion 4: Chapters 24-30)
Welcome to the last My Lady Jane readalong discussion! Yes, I know, I’m sad too! I really enjoyed this month of reading MLJ and discussing it with all of you. I don’t know what I’ll do with myself after this (I wish there was a sequel). But at least I know that I can dive into the next readalong that I’m hosting (which some of you have also joined already, yay!), so there’s that. Anyway, on to the discussion!
If this is the first time you’re hearing about this readalong, you can read the announcement and sign-up post here! I was accepting new participants up to this point, and welcome to all of you who may have joined us since the first discussion! I guess I could accept participants for the next discussions as well? I mean, if you read quick, or are sure that you can catch up, you are welcome to join in and even add to the previous discussions! Just be sure to sign up so that I can keep track of everyone!

Calendar Girls Wrap-Up (August 2017)
This month we kicked it old school with some historical fiction novels! And woman, is there a lot of history to choose from. We had books from a variety of different eras, countries, and cultures, but enough of my rambles! Check out the picks yourself! I would also like to personally apologize (Flavia here), for not having been as active on all of your posts this month! As some of you may know, I started a new job at the beginning of the month, and I was also hosting a readalong for Calendar Girls. With all of those things, and other stuff, going on, I’m sorry to say that I have not yet had the time to comment on everyone’s posts! I do promise that I have seen them all though! (If this is your first time hearing about Calendar Girls and are interested in finding out more, you can read my info page about the blog event here!)

Welcome to our third My Lady Jane readalong discussion! And I hope that all of you have been enjoying this next portion of the book as much as I have. I’m still upset with myself for waiting so long to read this, but am at the same time quite happy to be reading and discussing it with all of you! If this is the first time you’re hearing about this readalong, you can read the announcement and sign-up post here! I was accepting new participants up to this point, and welcome to all of you who may have joined us since the first discussion! I guess I could accept participants for the next discussions as well?
