my-banner-w-links-switched

Welcome to the wrap-up for another great month for Calendar Girls! This past month we got a little spookier by going with the Best Paranormal Novel theme! And it was so much fun to see what everyone’s favourites were. Seriously! That’s one of the best parts of Calendar Girls, all of the recommendations you indirectly received from friends. (If this is your first time hearing about Calendar Girls and are interested in finding out more, you can read my info page about the blog event here!)

Top Ten Tuesday (#33): Ten Books With Fall/Autumn Covers/Themes

                     top-ten-tuesday-halloween-edition

And we’re back this Tuesday with another exciting prompt…Ten Books With Fall/Autumn Covers/Themes! Yes, I know, I love Autumn way too much. But I’m a strong believer that it’s better to fill your life with things that you like and love, than the opposite. Yes. Positivity! My spellchecker is saying that that is not a real world. Too bad. Anyway, this prompt was harder for me to complete than I’d first imagined. When I first saw the prompt over on The Broke and the Bookish I just kind of smiled to myself, cracked my knuckles, and started a search that I thought would be very short and very yielding. I was so very wrong, and in the end, ended up listing a bunch of books that I have not read yet! Some of them are not published yet, sure, but the rest….What’s my excuse? The upside of this adventure, is that I came across some books that I’d never seen or heard of before! But anyway, on to my top ten list!

#ARCstravaganza (#11): When I Cast Your Shadow by Sarah Porter

arcstravaganza banner.png

Happy Monday, my lovelies! Or rather, Happy ARCstravaganza day (as I’ve come to call it)! Also, I would like to wish you all a happy Autumn! Yaaaay. There’s always something special about Fall for me…a mixture of the scents, foods, fashion, cozy reads, candles, hot tea…it’s just great. It’s been a bit tough for me to get into the Autumn mood though, because in my part of Canada, it’s been around 31 degrees Celsius almost every day! They were mentioning heat warnings on the radio, and I was like, this is not the Autumn that I know and love…hahaha. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, and I would love to get another beach day in there (well, beach day, since I haven’t been to the beach once this summer. I know. Sad). But back to ARCstravaganza! To learn more about the meme, please continue reading to see the info below, and continue past that to read more about my ARC choice for this week!
